BID Huntingdon

•A Business Improvement District (BID) is a defined area within which the businesses have voted to invest collectively in local improvements to enhance their trading environment.
•BIDs aim to provide new or enhanced services within the BID area, funded via a BID Levy, which is payable by non-domestic rate payers.
•BID services are additional to the services provided by the local authority.
A BID is a true ‘Town Team’, where everyone works together to enhance their trading environment and make a real difference, attracting more shoppers and visitors and, in the long term, businesses wanting to invest in our Town Centre.

In Huntingdon there are four project headings:
Clean, Safe & Welcoming
Marketing, Promotions & Events
Business Support
Access, including car parking

A board of up to 20 volunteer directors manage BID Huntingdon with a team of two part-time management staff and three part-time Town Rangers.
