The company, which works across energy absorption, safety testing solutions, composite panels and motorbike distribution, won the Environmental Achievement Award which recognises manufacturers and supply chain firms that have done the most to improve their overall environmental performance and enhance sustainability.
It impressed the Judges with its wide ranging environmental efficiency programme with clear KPIs across energy, water and waste and will now go on to compete for the national title.
Along with this achievement, Encocam apprentice Clinton Elkin, 21, was highly commended in the outstanding apprentice category at the awards, which acknowledges the contribution being made by manufacturing apprentices across the region.
Dr Mike Ashmead, Managing Director at Encocam, says: “This award is testament to our hard working and dedicated team, and we are delighted to have won. This puts us on the map as a modern and innovative company and goes some way to demonstrate the efforts made by manufacturers to boost sustainability and minimise the impact we have on the environment.
